Ohio's Pay to Play Laws
Bicker &
Eckler has a great web page that describes Ohio's
Pay to Play laws as passed in HB 694, effective 4/4/07 and revised
through amendments in HB 119 passed in June 2007. There was a challenge
to the law by UAW Local 1112 that resulted in the law being declared
unconstitutional due to procedural issues. However, the Attorney
General has filed a motion to dismiss. The following information
is at the Bicker & Eckler site - in addition, there is an Ongoing
Chronology of Events at the bottom of the page.
